Magdalen House has a city centre location with on-site parking.

Within a quarter of a mile you can either be in the cathedral precincts via the bronze statue of King Alfred and the Guildhall or starting a walk /cycle on the South Downs Way.

St Giles Hill is on the doorstep where a fabulous sweep of the city from the Sunset viewing platform will give you your bearings for a fulfilling stay.

Or take a walk out to the water meadows along the  River Itchen, via the City Mill and Wolvesey Palace.

Our rooms with a view, the Double (with kingsize bed) and Twin, are equipped with 22” or 24” flat screen Freeview televisions with remote control, tea and coffee makng facilities, hairdryers, bathrobes and full length mirrors  These rooms have exclusive use of a small sitting room and an adjacent wetroom shower-room, all in a private hallway.  My policy is to book only the Double or the Twin but they can both be booked for 2 singles travelling together or for a group of 3.

The en-suite Garden Room is the family room on the lower ground floor, sleeps 3 in a king size bed and a single bed and is furnished with a sofa and table and chairs.  It has all the facilities listed above.

Free wireless broadband is available.

Mototcyclists and bicyclists can leave their bikes in the integral garage, dry and secure.
